crafting with grandma - Here's a Cable Square for Your Afghan!

Blue Ribbon Afghans from America's State Fairs: 40 Prize-Winning Crocheted DesignsIf you are helping your grandchildren crochet an afghan for their parents for Christmas, I have another square for you . . . the cable square! This pattern is from the Sweet Baby Afghan Sampler in the Blue Ribbon Afghans from America's State Fairs book, and while it may look complicated, it is actually very simple! I'm currently working on this afghan as a baby afghan for my soon-to-make-his-arrival grandson, Caleb! (When it is completed, I'll post a photo of it for you!)

Add this square to your collection of squares for your afghan - when you have 25 completed squares you'll be ready to attach your squares and finish the afghan! Enjoy working on your afghan squares with your grandchildren and as you do be sure to talk with them about the things they are learning about God and how they are living those things in their everyday lives. Remember to share with them what you are learning and living as well!
