crafting with grandma - Homemade Valentine's Day Cards

If your grandchildren exchange Valentine's Day cards with children they know, consider planning a day for them to spend with you creating cards! I've been browsing on Pinterest and found several great ideas for making really cute cards . . . and thought I'd share them with you . . . of course!

Owl Love You! This one involves making your own "stamps" out of carved potatoes (grandma, you will have to carve out the designs on the potatoes) and cutting and gluing heart shapes to make a cute owl! Follow the link to the blog, Mama's Little Muse for a photo tutorial showing each step for making these cute little owls!

This ABC Valentine is so simple - if you follow the link to oopseydaisyblog, you find a link for a free download where you can print out your own, then use them to make cards, pictures to frame . . . or whatever you want! Very cute and fun! :^)

One more . . . the Collapsing Heart card, once again, if you
follow the link to Sweet Anne Desings, you'll find a link where you can download for free the template to make a fun 3-D heart! Print them out, decorate and have fun giving them to the people on your card list!

Of course, when you make cards with your grandchildren be sure to talk with them about what love really is and why we can love others . . . because God first loved us!

  1. I love the abc card. My son will love it. I'll be making it from me to him. Thanks for the great idea!
