I remember reading all of the Love Comes Softly books when I was first married . . . I loved the stories and the characters - Janette Oke sure knows how to tell a story! So, as the books became movies I was delighted for the opportunity to see them. I'm particularly happy for the opportunity to share one of these movies/stories with you! Love's Everlasting Courage releases to DVD on May 8th - in time for Mother's Day!

Love's Everlasting Courage is a story grandma - and mom - are sure to enjoy and one which you can watch with your grandchildren as well - if you do, it will give you some powerful messages which you can talk about with them. In this story "Clark" and "Ellen" work hard and yet risk losing their home. They do all the things people are "supposed" to do and yet along with the possibility of losing their home, Ellen gets sick and dies. If you watch this with your grandchildren be sure to talk with them about how difficult and sad times can and do come to all of us, even when we are trying to do the right things. Prayer, faithfulness and trust are the things which can give us a grounding so we are able to withstand difficult and sad times - this movie shows us this important lesson. Take some time to talk with your grandchildren about difficult and sad times in your life and how your trust in God gave you the strength you needed to make it through. Encourage them with the truth of God's and His love is always with us - in good times and in bad.

I'm very happy for the opportunity to give TWO of these movies away!
