crafting with grandma - Father's Day Mugs!

Father's Day is only a few days away and if you have a dad in your life who loves his morning cup of coffee, I have an idea for an amazing Father's Day gift you can involve your grandchildren in making for their dad! 


I found this idea on Pinterest and think with a few simple "tweaks" you could make a very personal mug for dad! There is some discussion on-line as to if you can really make these cups with Sharpie pens, or not . . . I will be trying it and will let you know, but to be safe, you could get the  Pebeo Porcelaine Marker and follow the directions in this link.


At any rate, you could trace a child's hand-print on paper, cut it out and then use it as your stencil to trace with the porceline markers onto your mug, decorate, follow directions to set permanently and voila! You have a very personal mug any dad will LOVE! This is a craft I will definitely be trying . . . probably for Christmas!


As you work on these mugs with your grandchildren, be sure to talk with them about the fun things they like to do with their dad and spend time with them thanking God for their dad and praying for him!
