grandma's movie review - Sneak Peek - VeggieTales the League of Incredible Vegetables!

Mark your calendars for October 13, 2012 as this is the date for the release of the new VeggieTales DVD - the League of Incredible Vegetables! As this day gets closer I'll provide you with a complete review and announce a give-away, but today I just want to let you have a sneak peek at this must-have Veggie Tale!

Big Idea has absolutely out-done themselves with this new story! As my husband previewed it with me, he ended up laughing out loud throughout the movie . . . I was laughing, too! I love how Big Idea is able to write a story for children which adults can enjoy, too!

Most importantly, the topic for this story - A Lesson in Handling Fear and Trusting God - is absolutely needed! Young children, older children and even adults struggle with fear. We all need to be reminded of the truth we can absolutely trust God and be encouraged by Psalm 56:3 "When I am afraid, I will put my trust in You." This is a message this grandma is looking forward to sharing with my grandson - he has lately been talking about being afraid of the shadows and having a nightmare about a pickle in the oven. I'm very happy for this Veggie Story which will remind him to trust God when he is afraid!

In this day and age where superheros are on the big screen, I'm very happy to see VeggieTales expand their "line of superheroes" to include four new ones with Bob as "Thingamabob", Mr. Lunt as "S-Cape", Petunia Rhubarb as "Vogue" and Jr. Asparagus as "Ricochet, and of course Larry the Cucumber as "LarryBoy"!

This new story is sure to become a favorite of children - and adults - everywhere with a funny Silly Song, music by NewsBoys (my husband loved the League of Incredible Vegetables theme song!) and a story which is not only needed, but which is presented in a way children - and adults - will be able to grasp, understand and remember!

Like I said, mark your calendar for October 13, 2012 and get ready for the arrival of the League of Incredible Vegetables- it is absolutely worth getting to watch and talk about with your grandchildren!
