Amelia has jointed arms and legs, and attention has been given to the details . . . down to the tiny buttons on her outfit . . . including her boots! Girls here in the States may not be as familiar with these dolls, yet, but as they do, they are sure to be fans of these lovely dolls! I like the story which goes with the dolls . . . it follows the "line" of Marchmount girls back during Tudor times in England. Amelia is "just an ordinary school-girl in Victorian London who is looking forward to her thirteenth birthday when she will inherit the family travelling trunk bequeathed to every first born girl, by her great great great . . . well so many greats she loses count . . . grandmother Matilda."
If you win Amelia, who would you give her to? She is another doll which is a "heirloom quality" doll - she will be loved by the girl who receives her and can be saved and passed on to a daughter or granddaughter in years to come for another girl to love all over again!
I'm giving one Amelia away on December 2, 2012 (USA only)! If you are over the age of 18 ad would like to be included in this give-away, please comment below to let me know if you have followed on Google Friend Connect, by liking on Facebook with the tab in the "Find us on Facebook" box ON THE BLOG (not just liking the post) and/or by email. For each of these which you have done, you will receive one entry. In addition, if you "share" this post, you'll receive an additional entry (please let me know if you share). This will help me be able to draw names from among people who would like to win this doll and it gives you several ways to enter the give-way! Thank you for reading grandma's cookie jar and for sharing it with the people you know!
Love this doll! Hope to win! SHARED!
