grandma's movie review - VeggieTales Lettuce Love One Another - I'm Giving One Away!

If you are a fan of VeggieTales then you will be happy to hear of a new Veggie release with an "eye" towards Valentine's Day . . . Lettuce Love One Another! This new collection includes three popular VeggieTales episodes—Tomato Sawyer & Huckleberry Larry's Big River RescueAbe and the Amazing Promise and King George and the Ducky—in addition to five brand-new 'Bible Bits,' story shorts which demonstrate examples of giving and forgiving, helping, praying and sharing.

Veggie's says, "Each episode in this collection helps teach a valuable lesson about love, whether it’s through honoring others when we help them, having patience or the importance of putting others first. Our new VeggieTales: Lettuce Love One Another! DVD is an entertaining, humorous and inspiring collection of stories which help kids and families discover ways they can love one another. The stories illustrate in a fun-filled way how love can be shown in practical ways such as being kind, sharing, and forgiving. It’s the perfect title for Valentine’s Day – or any day!”

In Tomato Sawyer & Huckleberry Larry's Big River Rescue, Bob & Larry have to choose between getting the land they worked for so long to have or helping someone who needs their help. I love this story and how it provides opportunities to talk with children about the things which really matter; such as helping others!

like how Abe and the Amazing Promise effectively helps children and grandparents better understand the incredible truth of how we can trust God to always keep His promises . . . even when it takes a lot of waiting and waiting and waiting to see how He does so!

King George and the Ducky gives you the opportunity to talk with your grandchildren about sharing, giving to others, selfishness and stealing.

Watch this dvd with your kids and you can be sure there will be lots of things to talk about; which is the best thing about VeggieTales. Yes, they can tell a great story and do so in a way which captivates children and brings a smile to adults, but the best thing about VeggieTales is the way their stories provide opportunities to talk with children about important things such as giving, forgiving, helping, sharing and loving!  So check out Lettuce Love One Another and get ready for some great conversations with your grandchildren!

I'm happy to announce, I am giving one Lettuce Love One Another away (USA only)! If you'd like to be in the drawing,  which will be on January 9, 2013,  please comment below to let me know if you have followed on Google+, Google Friend Connect, followed by liking on facebook with the tab in the "Find us on Facebook" box ON THE BLOG (not just liking the post) and/or have followed grandma's cookie jar by email.
