grandma's bookshelf - the Berenstain Bears God Made the Colors - I'm Giving One Away!

I love Berenstain Bears books and I love "I Can Read" books, so, when you put the two together . . . well, there is surely a lot to love! Over the years the Berenstain bears have taught children so many things, so when I saw this new book where they teach about colors I knew I wanted to share it with you!

The Berenstain Bears, God Made the Colors
By - Stan, Jan & Mike Berenstain
Publisher - Zonderkidz
Age - Level 1, I Can Read!

Favorite Features -
  • Return of the loved Berenstain Bears
  • Focus on how God made colors; "every single shade!"
  • I love how the book talks not only about colorful things God made, but the colors of people God made, too! "God made bears and people too of different color, different hue. We love the color of every bear. And the color of people everywhere."
This is such a fun book to read with your little ones . . . and then talk with them about their favorite colors God made! Go on a color hike . . . you may want to wait for Spring to do this outside depending on where you live . . . or you could color pictures of flowers, birds and other colorful things God made, put them around your home and then go on an inside color hike! Be sure to spend time thanking God for the colors, things and people He made!

I'm very happy to say not only did Zonderkidz send one book for me to review, but they are making another available for me to give away (USA only)! If you'd like to be in the drawing for God Made the Colors,  which will be on February 10, 2013,  please comment below to let me know if you have followed on Google+, Google Friend Connect, followed by liking on facebook with the tab in the "Find us on Facebook" box ON THE BLOG (not just liking the post) and/or have followed grandma's cookie jar by email. For each of these which you have done you will receive one entry. In addition, if you "share" this post, you'll receive an additional entry (please let me know if you share). This will help me be able to draw names from among people who would like to win this book and it gives you several ways to enter the give-away! Thank you for reading grandma's cookie jar and for sharing it with the people you know!
