I'm Giving Two Great Books Away in One Week!

I thought I'd take a moment to remind you of two great books I'm giving away in one week . . . on January 15, 2013 I'm giving away Favorite Parables from the Bible: Stories Jesus Told. This book has eight wonderful Bible stories by Nick Butterworth & Mick Inkpen (the creator of Kipper the dog);  The Lost Sheep, The Precious Pearl, The Two Sons, The House on the Rock, The Ten Silver Coins, The Little Gate, The Good Stranger and The Rich Farmer.

When my children were young, these were available as individual books and we bought four of them . . . they very quickly became four of our family's favorite books! So, when ZonderKidz let me know they were re-releasing these books all combined in one book, I literally said, "Hooray!" I'm so very thrilled another generation of children will be able to grow up with these stories!

So, tomorrow I'm having a drawing for this book! I'm also giving away another of their books - Animal Tales from the Bible: Four Favorite Stories About Jesus - on my other blog, About the Children's Department. If you'd like to get in the drawing for this book, check my other site and be sure to "like" it! This book has The Fox's Tale (Jesus is Born), The Cat's Tale (Jesus at the Wedding), The Magpie's Tale (Jesus and Zacchaeus) and The Mouse's Tale (Jesus and the Storm)!

In my opinion, these are "must-have" books for any grandma's - and family's - home library! So, if you would like to be in the drawing for Favorite Parables from the Bible: Stories Jesus Toldplease comment below to let me know if you have followed on Google+, Google Friend Connect, followed by liking on facebook with the tab in the "Find us on Facebook" box ON THE BLOG (not just liking the post) and/or have followed grandma's cookie jar by email. For each of these which you have done you will receive one entry. In addition, if you "share" this post, you'll receive an additional entry (please let me know if you share). This will help me be able to draw names from among people who would like to win this book (USA only) and it gives you several ways to enter the give-away! Thank you for reading grandma's cookie jar and for sharing it with the people you know!
