crafting with grandma - Make Your Own American Girl Paper Dolls - & I'm Giving Saige Away!

Just a quick reminder  . . . on May 15, 2013 I'm giving away one of the new American Girl of the Year dolls - Saige! This doll is beautiful and is sure to be a loved "friend" for any girl who receives her. American Girl dolls are ones which nearly all little girls would love to have, but due to their cost, not all girls are able to receive one. It is for this reason it is my hope whoever wins this doll will give her to a girl who otherwise might not be able to have an American Girl doll of her own. If you win, who will you give Saige to?

I wish I had enough American Girl Dolls to give one to everyone who enters my contest, but I only have one. However; I do have a wonderful idea for how you can make your own American Girl Doll paper dolls for the little girls in your life at little, if any, cost!

So, how can you do this? Take an American Girl Doll catalog, or go online to americangirl.com and look for full images of dolls. Print and cut them out, laminate them to sturdy cardboard or cover with clear contact paper to make them stronger and, voila! You have your own American Girl paper dolls! This could be a fun project to do with your granddaughter on a rainy Spring day! Enjoy!

Back to my Saige give-away. You can find out all about my Saige give-awawy by checking this link, but basically, if you are over the age of 18, live in the USA and have a girl who you know who otherwise would not be able to have a American Girl doll, this contest is for you!

You can enter this contest by commenting below to let me know if you have followed on Google+, Google Friend Connect, followed by liking on facebook with the tab in the "Find us on Facebook" box ON THE BLOG (not just liking the post) and/or have followed grandma's cookie jar by email. For each of these which you have done you will receive one entry. In addition, if you "share" this post, you'll receive an additional entry each time you "share" (please let me know if you share). This will help me be able to draw names on May 15, 2013 from among people who would like to win this doll and it gives you several ways to enter the give-away! Thank you for reading grandma's cookie jar and for sharing it with the people you know!(You'll be able to receive additional entries each time I post about her!)
