Memorial Day Fun . . . Stars, Stars and More Stars - and Stripes, Too!

If you are celebrating Memorial Day with your family and are looking for some fun things you can do with your grandchildren to involve them in celebrating, look at these great ideas I found on Pinterest . . .
  • Lawn Stars! All you need is cardboard to make your star templates, a spray bottle of water, a flour sifter and flour! Have fun making stars on your yard and then when your grandchildren arrive, after they are amazed to find the stars you made, let them make a few more! Just follow this link for all the details for lawn stars!
  • Don't stop with the lawn . . . make some cornstartch sidewalk paint - all you need is cornstarch, water and food coloring . . . give your grandchildren paintbrushes and let them have fun painting your sidewalk, driveway, steps . . . etc! Be sure to have a camera handy for some great photos you are sure to treasure! Check this link for the details!
And . . . now you have the "stars", don't forget the "stripes" . . . check this great craft I found on Pinterest for making colorful Red, White and Blue Wind-catchers! All you need is florist wire, pliers, plastic tablecloths, scissors, fishing line and people ready to have some fun! You'll find complete directions with a photo tutorial at this link.

So - what do you think? Do any of these sound like crafts and activities you might try this Memorial Day?
