grandma's cookbook - Strawberry Lemonade!

My grandsons . . . and pretty much my whole family . . . love lemonade! I "tweak" the recipe on the lemon juice bottle . . . 1 cup of sugar, 2 cups of lemon juice and 6 1/2 cups of water . . . for a do-it-yourself-so-you-know-what-is-in-it-lemonade which is not too tart and not too sweet!

Lately my grandsons have been curious about "pink" lemonade, but since they - and we and their parents - have a definite dislike for Red #40 food coloring, I thought it would be fun to find a do-it-yourself-so-you-know-what-is-in-it-pink-lemonade recipe, so today I am happy to share with you just such a recipe for strawberry lemonade from Martha Stewart!

Just follow this link for the recipe - it looks pretty simple . . . I'll be trying it this weekend, but will be increasing it by taking my lemonade recipe and adding 2 pints of strawberries. It may take some experimenting to get this amount just right, but if it does, I'll be sure to let you know! Enjoy this refreshing Summer Drink!
