Today is National Sneak Some Zucchini Onto Your Neighbor's Porch Day!"

I hope you had a nice laugh reading the title for this post! I had to share this day to "celebrate" with you because it just sounds so silly! I'm not personally a fan of zucchini, so my neighbors have nothing to "fear" from me when it comes to sneaking zucchini onto their porches! Plus, when it comes to growing things I have the "black thumb of death" and my children "banned" me from "torturing" any more plants - otherwise known as attempting to grow some! They said it was "cruel and inhumane treatment" of the plants whenever I tried to grow any!

The website where I found this day to "celebrate" had the following to say about it: "By the time August arrives, gardeners are reaping far more zucchini than they can possibly use. They use it daily in an untold number of recipes, from soups and stews, to breads and dips. Still, the fruit matures on the vine faster than anyone can even pick it. Zucchini growers become desperate, as they try to give zucchini away to family, friends and everyone they encounter. By August, even non-gardeners have had enough. Everyone avoids you, with your arms laden with giveaway fruit. Desperate times calls for desperate measure. It's time to sneak over, under the cover of darkness, to your neighbors porch, and unload some zucchini. Today is that day. This may solve your problem for today. But, what will you do with the harvest tomorrow!?!"

So, for you people with "green" thumbs who enjoy zucchini, what do you do with all your zucchini and what is your favorite thing to make with these squash?
