Special Christmas Give-Away - Audrey Bunny!

I was recently invited to review a new children's book about a little bunny - and give one away as well, so today I'm delighted to let you know all about this sweet little story. "From best-selling women’s author Angie Smith, wife of Todd Smith (lead singer of Dove Award winning group Selah), comes a sweet children’s book about a stuffed animal named Audrey Bunny who fears her imperfections make her unworthy of a little girl’s love. She'll learn the truth soon enough, and young readers will learn everyone is special and wonderfully made by God."

Audrey Bunny
Author - Angie Smith
Illustrator - Breezy Brookshire
Publisher - BH Kids
Ages - 4-7

Favorite Features -
  • Love the illustrations!
  • I'm very happy to see the Parent Connection in the back with questions and activities for children to do to help them think about and apply the message of the story
  • Sweet story about how a little girl chose and loved a bunny - even though the bunny was not "perfect" and had a smudge over it's heart
  • Provides opportunities for grandmas - and grandpas and moms and dads - to talk with children about how they are amazing - just the way God made them!
Audrey Bunny is a very sweet story which will help children better understand God's amazing love for them. I did keep waiting to find out - as I read it the first time - about some "imperfection" Caroline had . . . I thought the story would be about how the little girl had a scar from surgery or something, but that is not where the story "went". I do love the message of the story; "Everyone is special and wonderfully made by God"! While this certainly does not apply to toy bunnies, it does absolutely apply to children . . . and each of us and is a message we all need to hear and be reminded of!

I'm happy to say not only did BH Kids send me one Audrey Bunny to review, but the are making another available for me to give away (USA only)! If you'd like to be in the drawing for Audrey Bunnywhich will be on November 8, 2013,  please comment below to let me know if you have followed on Google Friend Connect, followed by liking on facebook with the tab in the "Find us on Facebook" box ON THE BLOG or at this link (not just liking the post) and/or have followed grandma's cookie jar by email. For each of these which you have done you will receive one entry. In addition, if you "share" this post, you'll receive an additional entry (please let me know if you share). This will help me be able to draw names from among people who would like to win Audrey Bunny and  it gives you several ways to enter the give-away! Thank you for reading grandma's cookie jar and for sharing it with the people you know!
