Today is National Homemade Cookies Day!

Chocolate Chip CookiesI didn't know such a day even existed, but since it does I certainly had to celebrate it with you by re-sharing my family's favorite cookie recipe with you - Three Boy's Chocolate Chip, Peanut Butter & Oatmeal Cookies! (Since I have two more grandsons, we changed the name to include them all!)

You'll find the recipe at this link for these cookies which are soft, chewy and oh, so yummy! Josiah will be at my house tomorrow, so we will celebrate it then by making cookies - and sending some home with him of course!

According to a website I found, the most popular homemade cookies include chocolate chip, peanut butter, sugar cookies, oatmeal, and snickerdoodles - all delicious cookies and worthy of being made and enjoyed on this day! They also gave some hints to making great homemade cookies . . .
  1. Ingredients should be at room temperature.
  2. Use an ice cream scoop to help with portion size
  3. Rotate cookies in oven halfway through for even cooking
  4. Let them cool before removing from cookie sheet.

What is your family's favorite homemade cookie?
