LeapFrog Learning Path & Special Christmas Give-Away - a LeapReader!

There are many reasons to give our grandchildren learning systems from LeapFrog; they are fun, kids want to play with them, there is a wide variety of titles available in games, apps, books and videos with favorite characters from Disney, Magic Tree House, PBS kids, Sesame Street and many, many more! Plus, more importantly, children really do learn with LeapFrog! They learn the basics of letters, numbers, colors, shapes, etc. They learn to read, learn math, languages, science and so much, much more! Yes, there are many, many reasons to give our grandchildren learning systems from LeapFrog!

Well, today I'm very happy to let you know about yet another reason to do this; the new Learning Path app for iOS! LeapFrog has this to say about it's new Learning Path; "The Learning Path is designed specifically for parents to help them support their child's learning with personalized learning ideas, fun activities and expert advice. Developed in collaboration with LeapFrog’s full-time in-house team of learning experts, the new Learning Path is available as a downloadable app, a weekly newsletter and a web resource. 'Parents and caregivers are often looking for ways to inspire and encourage their child to learn and with the new LeapFrog Learning Path, they now have access to tools which meet their child’s individual needs,' said Dr. Jody Sherman LeVos, manager of LeapFrog’s Learning Team. 'Because we know every child is unique, we created the Learning Path to be a parent’s or caregiver’s go-to resource for learning ideas tailored to their child’s age and learning stage. It also offers community features including direct access to our learning team, and the ability to track a child’s progress as he or she engages in learning games with LeapFrog-connected. The new LeapFrog Learning Path enables parents to get personalized learning ideas, share and discuss education topics, and track their child’s progress.'"

Learning Path is a free app for you to download. With it you can select the age/ages of your grandchildren/children and the type of activity/resource you are looking for: printable, activity, video, discussion, article or tip. Then select the skill you want to focus on: reading & writing, math, logic & problem solving, science, social studies, creativity & life skills, personal & social skills, language learning or just for fun, then get ready to discover a wealth of resources at your fingertips! (I love the idea for creating a colorful windsock for five-year olds and the Freeze Dance game for two year olds!)

LeapFrog's Learning Path provides personalized learning ideas to help children grow, provides opportunities for grandparents/parents to connect with other grandparents/parents and keep track of how your grandchild/child is learning and growing with LeapFrog resources!

The LeapFrog Learning Path is available as a free downloadable app for iPhone, iPad and iPod touch, a weekly newsletter and as a web resource. To learn more about the Learning Path, visit www.leapfrog.com/learningpath.

Along with letting you know about this great free app, I am very happy to announce another give-away for my Month of Special Christmas Give-Aways; a LeapReader Reading and Writing System from LeapFrog! This past summer LeapFrog invited me to review the LeapReader 3D Book: Monsters University book and since I didn't have a LeapReader to do the review, LeapFrog sent me one. I have to say, I was extremely impressed . . . and Josiah loved it! I am so thrilled for the opportunity to give one away! LeapFrog says, "LeapReader is the complete learn-to-read-and-write solution that combines three essential literacy skills: reading, writing and listening. By practicing them together, children can practice the skills they need to help them become confident, independent readers."

I love how easy a LeapReader Reading and Writing System is to use and how it brings a book to "life"! Not only can it read the book to a child, but it can help them learn to read as well. And, it opens up all kinds of activities and games which build comprehension on each page of a LeapReader book to continue the learning - and fun! You can learn more about the LeapReader at this link!

I'm happy to have the opportunity to give one LeapReader Reading and Writing System away! (USA only) If you are 18 and older and would like to be in this drawing which will be on November 29, 2013, all you have to do is at least one of the following: follow on Google+, Google Friend Connect, follow by liking on facebook with the tab at this link (not just liking the post) and/or have followed grandma's cookie jar by email. For each of these which you have done you will receive one entry. In addition, if you "share" this post, you'll receive an additional entry (please let me know if you share!) This will help me be able to draw names from among people who would like to win the LeapReader Reading and Writing System and it gives you several ways to enter the give-away!
