Christmas Gift Ideas - Signals . . . and a Give-Away!

You may not be familiar with Signals, but I have found them to be a source for unique and practical gifts . . . both through their catalog and their on-line website. They sent me a few items to let you know about this year and these are a great repsentation of the kinds of great gifts you will find at Signals. Check these out . . .

Fiesta Infinity Scarf - Signals says, "Nothing is easier to wear than an infinity scarf. Not only is it a continuous loop, there are infinite ways to wear it. Drop it over your head,

double it, and look terrific. Pull one end through the loop to wear under a coat. Rainbow colors on gray 100% acrylic chunky knit, super-soft and versatile. 10" wide, 65" around. Hand wash. Imported." I have found this scarf to not only be lovely (I continually receive compliments on it every time I wear it), but it is so soft and warm! With the primary color being grey with "splashes" of color, it goes with nearly everything! I have never had an infinity scarf before, but after wearing this one I am sure it will not be my only one for long! The Fiesta Infinity Scarf makes a lovely and thoughtful gift for someone on your gift list!

"I drink coffee for your protection" T-Shirt - Signals says, "A shirt for those best avoided B.C. (Before Coffee) due to general grumpiness or Godzilla-like behavior. Coffee brown sweatshirt is 50/50 cotton blend; T-shirt is preshrunk 100% cotton." Coffee is enjoyed at my house and while many of us do enjoy it, my son is the one who will receive this shirt! He is not grumpy at all - with or without his coffee - but I do have to say, Josiah has said, "Adults need coffee in the morning so they are not grumpy!" This will be a great gift for my son . . . and if you have someone who has coffee flowing through their blood, you may find it is a great gift for them as well!

Cola Can Giraffe - Signals says, "Cool and unusual, made in Kenya from aluminum cola cans saved from the garbage dump. Each is many individual pieces, cut and shaped by hand, bound together with telephone wire. Cans are recycled, people in Kenya earn a living, and you have a colorful piece of folk art. Each will vary slightly. About 13" high. Made entirely from Coca Cola cans. A Fair Trade product." This giraffe is so unique and fun . . . and it is a gift which when you give it to someone, you are really helping the people who made it! This giraffe is sure to be an attention-getting gift which will start conversations!

Signals has many items in their catalog and on-line which make the perfect gift for someone on your gift list . . . check them out!

I'm very happy to say I'm going to give the Cola Can Giraffe away! (USA only) If you are 18 or older and would like to be in this give-away, which will be on December 20, 2013, please comment below to let me know your favorite African animal. I think I'd have to say my favorite African animal is the giraffe! I love the spots, the unique look and the faces on these amazing animals! Additional entries in this give-away are available if you follow on Google+, Google Friend Connect, follow by liking on facebook with the tab at this link (not just liking the post) and/or have followed grandma's cookie jar by email. For each of these which you have done you will receive one entry. In addition, if you "share" this post, you'll receive an additional entry (please let me know if you share!) This will help me be able to draw names from among people who would like to win the Cola Can Giraffe and it gives you several ways to enter the give-away!
