grandma's bookshelf - Love You More Than Anything - I'm Giving One Away!

We grandmas - and grandpas and moms and dads - do not need a special day of the year to think about and focus on loving our grandchildren/children . . . we do this every day of the year! However; with Valentine's day less than a month away, it gives us another opportunity to express our love . . . one fun way to do this is with the book, Love You More Than Anything!

Love You More Than Anything
Author - Anna Freeman
Illustrator - Jed Henry
Publisher - Sterling Children's Books
Ages - 4-7

Favorite Features -
  • Sweet and fun rhyming text expresses how much a child is loved in a way children will enjoy!
  • Fun illustrations add to the book! Children will especially like seeing all the animals!
  • I love how the illustrations and text show a family enjoying simple things - picnics, visits to the park, flying kites, bath-time, and bedtime . . . simple family times together!
  • Strong message about how families love each other, "more than anything"!
"Lazy daisy,/ grassy hugs./ Love you more than ladybugs./ Giggle, wiggle,/ jump and run./ Love you more than playground fun . . . Sudsy, wudsy, splash, and laugh./Love you more than bubbly bath.  This is a story children - and grandparents and parents will love! When you read it to the children you love, "more than anything", have some fun making up the things you love them more than . . . try to find rhyming words for more fun!  It would be great fun to grab some paper and crayons and make your own, "Love You More Than Anything" books with the things you love each other more than!

Love You More Than Anything is sure to be a favorite bedtime story for sure! I'm so happy Sterling Children's Books is making an additional copy available for me to give away on February 7, 2014 (USA only)!  So . . . if you are over the age of 18 you may enter by commenting below to let me know how you would "rhyme" your love for your grandchildren . . . I'd say something like; "Snuggle, hug, laugh and play/Love you more and more, every day!"

Additional entries in this give-away are available if you follow on Google+, Google Friend Connect, follow by liking on facebook with the tab at this link (not just liking the post) and/or have followed grandma's cookie jar by email. 1. THANK YOU SO MUCH, from my son James who received his book yesterday. He LOVES it!! In Chattanooga we don't get snow, so reading about it is always fun. :) I'm entering this for my other son, Andrew, who's birthday happens to be on Valentine's Day! What fun contest. Thanks for the chance to enter. I 'like' you on Facebook and am sharing this now! Thank you again for the package, we love it!

  3. I'm not a grandmother yet, but my daughter and I love to rhyme random words whenever we have time to kill. This means that we rhyme while cooking dinner, while traveling in the car, even while we're in public restrooms!
