grandma's bookshelf - Who's in the Tree?

My grandsons love lift-the-flap books, so when I received this new book from Sterling Children's Books, I knew it was a book they would love as there are a lot of lift-the-flap surprises in, "Who's in the Tree?"

Who's in the Tree?
By - Craig Shuttlewood
Publisher - Sterling Children's Books
Ages - 4-7

Favorite Features -
  • fun rhyming text on each page
  • eight lift-the-flaps with eight fun scenes/environments
  • children will enjoy guessing who is under the flaps and will be surprised many times with who does not "belong"!
  • for extra fun ask the children to look for and find the space ship on each page
  • sturdy card-stock pages will hold up to little ones lifting the flaps and reading this book for years to come!
Sterling Children's Books says; "Can you spot the face that's out of place in each animal habitat? Travel around the world (and into outer space) in this super-silly lift-the-flap adventure!

I love the unexpected animals Craig Shuttlewood chose for this story; a penguin, octopus, elephant, pig, peacock, lion, giraffe . . . it would be fun to add a photo of your grandchild in the back where it says, "you"! When you read this book with your grandchildren, ask them what animals they would have chose to put in this story . . . I would choose to include an Okapi (see photo!)

  1. Panda Bears...I would definitely include panda bears! Thanks for the chance to win! I think my grandson would enjoy this book.

  2. If I wrote this, I would include a Turducken. I know that eating them at Thanksgiving has become all the rage (ew), but what would it look like if we combined them while they're still alive? Probably pretty interesting!
