Movie Give-Away & Fun, Free Extras!

I have been invited to share some fun, free activities with you which go with the movie, Walking With Dinosaurs - I also get to give one blu-ray away! (My review copy will arrive in a couple days, so I'll post a review of the movie when it arrives as well.) Since I personally believe dinosaurs were one of God's most amazing creations, even though the movies do not talk about God creating these animals, I thought it would be fun to share the free activities and have the give-away!

Walking With Dinosaurs
Produced by - 20th Century Fox
Rating - PG for creature action and peril, and mild, rude humor

I do want to say again, I personally believe God created the entire universe; when my children were little we were not afraid of having them see and hear things which spoke of evolution. We told them we believed God created everything and it took much more faith to believe everything just "happened" over millions and billions of years. This is also what I tell my own grandsons. Since much of the content of Walking with Dinosaurs involves, "photorealistic dinosaurs based on paleontological research from world experts retained by the BBC" I think the movie itself will be interesting!

So, on to some of the FREE, fun Walking With Dinosaurs resources from 20th Century Fox and the BBC . . .
You could print out these free, fun dino activities and have a dino-party with your grandchildren - you'll find fun decorating ideas and recipes at this link! When you do, talk with them about which dino is their favorite, which dino they might have liked to have for a pet and which dino they would not want to come face-to-face with! Give them paper and crayons and have them "create" a dino of their own; have fun making up a dino-name for their creations and deciding what their dinos were like! Talk with them about how God created everything; including dinos!

Now, for the info on the Walking With Dinosaurs blu-ray give-away! I'm very happy to say, Twentieth Century Fox is making one blu-ray available for me to give away (USA only)!  If you are over the age of 18 and would like to be in the drawing for Walking With Dinosaurswhich will be on April 4, 2014, you may enter by commenting below to let me know what a dinosaur would look like if you were able to create it; I think my dino would be the size of a basset hound - I'd want it to be able to be a pet! It would be gentle, of course, and very colorful . . . sparkly red, blue, green and purple; all sparkly jewel-tones! I think it would have to have long ears . . . I do, after all, love basset hounds! Yes, this is what, "my dino" would look and be like! What about you? What would, "your dino" look and be like?

Additional entries in this give-away are available if you follow on Google+, Google Friend Connect, follow by liking on facebook with the tab at this link (not just liking the post) and/or have followed grandma's cookie jar by email. For each of these which you have done you will receive one entry. In addition, if you "share" this post, you'll receive an additional entry (please let me know if you share!) This will help me be able to draw names from among people who would like to win Walking With Dinosaurs and it gives you several ways to enter the give-away! Thank you for reading grandma's cookie jar and for sharing it with the people you know!

  1. My dino would be the size of a miniature horse so that my grandson would ride on it around the house! It would be green because that is his favorite color and wouldn't have any spikes on its back. It would also have ears that stand up so he can hold on to them like handles!
