just as grandma's cookie jar should always be full of good things, this blog will be full of good ideas, information, activities and reviews of things to help grandma . . . and grandpa, mom and dad too . . . pass on a heritage of faith to the children in their lives!
One week from today on May 24, 2014 I'm going to hold the drawing for the winner of Isabelle, the American Girl Doll of the Year for 2014! You will find out all the details about this doll and how to be included in the drawing at this link. Have you ever made a doll for your children/grandchildren? When my daughter was young I made her an upside-down doll - one side was a bunny in a pretty dress and the other was the bunny in a nightgown. I love upside-down - or topsy-turvy as some call them - dolls! They are a lot of fun! If I had a granddaughter, I'd make her one for sure!
I've helped my oldest daughter clothes for a paper doll she drew. Does that count? :) she's the crafty one in the family and the main reason I try to be a 'fun,' crafty mom for all my girls.
I've thought about making a doll for my girl, but I haven't yet.
ReplyDeleteI made a Miss Piggy doll and a Rainbow Brite doll for my daughters.
ReplyDeleteI remember both! :-)

ReplyDeleteDefinitely counts! :-) I loved playing with paper dolls when I was young!
DeleteAnd I'm really excited about the Isabelle give-away! It certainly would be special to win on my little dancer's birthday! : D
ReplyDeleteIt is my birthday on the 24th, too! :-)
DeleteHow exciting! My daughter would love her. I also love that upside down doll. What a neat idea! 2 in 1!
ReplyDeleteUpside-down dolls are a lot of fun! :-)
DeleteI made all of mine the "Care Bears"
ReplyDeleteCare Bears are a lot of fun for sure!
DeleteI'm not really super crafty but think the upside-down bunny is cute!
