While Summertime is the perfect time for relaxing, swimming, playing, enjoying the outside and activity, it is also the perfect time for reading! So, if you are looking for some books your grandchildren - and especially grandsons - might enjoy, check the, "Good Question!" books from Sterling Children's Books!

Good Question! Why Did T. rex Have Short Arms?: And Other Questions about Dinosaurs
Author - Melissa Stewart
Good Question! What Makes a Tornado Twist?: And Other Questions about Weather
Author - Mary Kay Carson
Good Question! How Is My Brain Like a Supercomputer?: And Other Questions about The Human Body
Author - Melissa StewartT
Good Question! Why Is the Sea Salty?: And Other Questions about Oceans
Author - Benjamin Richmond
Good Question! How Strong Is an Ant?: And Other Questions about Bugs and Insects
Author - Mary Kay Carson

Favorite Features -

  • Excellent illustrations and photos - high quality and extremely interesting - I love the books just for the illustrations/photos!
  • Each book is written by asking and answering questions: I especially found the following questions - and answers - to be very interesting:  Why are dinosaur names so hard to say? Were dinosaurs good parents?  Why do clouds float? What makes a tornado twist? How much air do I breathe in every day? How deep is the ocean? What is the rainforest of the sea? What are the ocean zones? How did rubber duckies help ocean scientists? Are there more insects than people on the earth?
These books are beautiful, interesting and a great resource for children to read and enjoy over the summer! As your grandchildren read them, be sure to point out how God created this amazing world which we live in and all these things; dinos, weather, the human body, oceans and even bugs show us how amazing God is!

I'm very happy to say, not only did Sterling Books send me all five of these books to review, but they are making another set of them available for me to give away (USA only)! If you are over the age of 18 and would like to be in the drawing for the Good Question! bookswhich will be on July 12, 2014, you may enter by commenting below to tell me which book you might find to be the most interesting - I think they are all interesting, but the ocean book is my favorite!

  1. I think my two young sons would like Good Question! What Makes a Tornado Twist?: And Other Questions about Weather. We have been having a lot of rain and some thunder storms here and they ask a lot of questions about it all. My youngest even prayed that the birds would be ok!

  5. I think the Tornado book would be most interesting, especially for my grandsons! They are obsessed with the "tornado scene" in the Wizard of Oz movie so I'm sure they would love to learn about what makes a tornado.
