grandma's bookshelf -faiThGirLz! Big Book of Quizzes & Best Party Book ever! I'm Giving them Away!

I have grandsons; no granddaughters, so while I tend to review things boys will like, I know many of you have granddaughters, so I try to include things which girls will enjoy as well. The books I'm writing about today are definitely for girls!

Zonderkidz says; "Welcome to the world of, well, you! The Faithgirlz! Big Book of Quizzes offers more than twenty quizzes which delve into school, friends, faith, family, guys, and questions 'All-About-You.' Take the quizzes on your own or with friends. Some funny, some thought-provoking, every quiz ends with wide range of answers to help girls think about themselves, get advice on tons of topics, and learn little 'who knew?' facts about how they really think and feel—done in a fun format every girl loves." and, "Whether you want to throw the best birthday bash ever or you’re dreaming up a just-for-fun sleepover extravaganza with your friends, Faithgirlz! has you covered. Packed full of creative and crazy-fun ideas, this book contains everything you need to know to plan fifteen great get-togethers from start to finish. From holiday parties to secret garden soirees, cookie bake-offs for a cause to “glamping” slumber parties, you and your BFFs will get detailed how-tos and plenty of tips for designing cute crafts, d├ęcor, munchies, and more. Plus, clever ideas throughout show you how to turn every day into a special occasion! Have a blast from invitation to gracious goodbye—all on a crafty girl’s budget."

Zonderkidz sent me both these books for free to review and share my opinions with you - I think they are great fun! I'm very happy for the opportunity to give these books away! (USA only) If you are over the age of 18 and would like to be in the drawing for faiThGirLz! Big Book of Quizzes and the Best Party Book Ever!, which will be on October 10, 2013,  please comment below to let me know where you phone is during family dinners (A. next to you, B. on your lap with the tone set to "silent", C. in a pocket or your room, or D. you do not have one) While I have a cell phone, it is basic; no real "tech", so I'd have to say I do not have one! (A= distracted, B= can handle being away from tech, but only if you have to, C=well-balanced and D= tecno-terrified) Plus, an extra entry if you tell me your favorite parties to plan . . . I love planning birthday parties for my family - they get to pick the menu and I give gifts!!! And I LOVE Christmas and celebrating it from Thanksgiving Day to Christmas Day!

In addition, you will receive additional entries if you have followed on Google+, Google Friend Connect, followed by liking on facebook with the tab at this link (not just liking the post) and/or have followed grandma's cookie jar by email. For each of these which you have done you will receive one entry. In addition, if you "share" this post, you'll receive an additional entry (please let me know if you share). This will help me be able to draw names from among people who would like to win faiThGirLz! Big Book of Quizzes and the Best Party Book Ever! and it gives you several ways to enter the give-away!

  1. My cellphone is usually in my car ...unless I am on vacation. It is basic and does nothing other than make calls. I like planning birthday parties. I follow on Facebook and email.

  4. My cellphone is usually on the mantle, I rarely check it. I still give my home number to everyone. I love planning for Christmas, too...I'm shopping and finding deals all year long.

  6. My cell is typically away from me during dinner, unless one of my kiddos is away from home - then it is close at hand in case I'm needed.

  7. At my home we typically just plan birthday parties. However, my favorite birthday party to plan is the one my children plan with me for Jesus on Christmas Morning.
