2014 Christmas Give-Away - Time for a Bath!

Last year I had the opportunity to review - and give away - the delightful book; Time for a Hug, so when I was invited to review a new book by the same author, I was very happy to do so! Time for a Bath is just as delightful and is sure to be a family favorite!

Time for a Bath
Author - Phillis Gershator
Illustrator - David Walker
Publisher - Sterling Children's Books
Ages - 3-5

Favorite Features -
  • I LOVE the illustrations!
  • Children will enjoy the opportunity to go through a year with little bunny and will identify with the ways he ends up needing a bath!
  • This grandma loves the way the story ends - with a, "hug and cuddle and kiss good night!"
  • When I read it to my sweet boys, they enjoyed the rhyming and being able to say, what time it was . . .  "Time for a bath!"
Sterling Children's Books says, "Winter, spring, summer, and fall: In every season kids get dirty, so in every season kids need a bath! Go through the year with little bunny—splashing in puddles, rolling in grass, eating a drippy banana split, and painting pictures. And when there's a mess, it's rub-a-dub-dub from head to toe. This adorable follow-up to Time For a Hug will make bath time fun!"

Time for a Bath is a truly delightful book and is perfect for reading and snuggling with your sweet, little grandchildren! Children will be able to identify with little bunny as they have likely needed baths for doing the exact same things! Time for a Bath is a great book to tuck under the tree and will give many hours of snuggling, reading, and fun for children, parents and grandparents!

I enjoyed this little story very much and am very happy to say, not only did Sterling Children's Books send me a copy of Time for a Bath to review in exchange for my opinion, but they are also making a copy available for me to give away (USA only)! It is a fun addition to my 2014 Christmas Gift Review and Give-Away, with its fun, rhyming story and cute illustrations - definitely a book little ones will enjoy! If you are over the age of 18 and would like to be in the drawing for Time for a Bath, which will be on November 5, 2014, please comment below to let me know a time when you were messy and needed a bath as a child . . . when I was little - probably two or three, my sister, who was one year older than me, dumped a container of baby powder on my head! My mom put me in the tub and it turned to goo!!! I guess, I needed a bath because of the bath!!! Moral of this story . . . don't put a child who is covered in powder into a bath tub!!!

In addition, you will receive additional entries if you have followed on Google+, Google Friend Connect, followed by liking on facebook with the tab at this link (not just liking the post) and/or have followed grandma's cookie jar by email. 1. Probably I needed a bath when one of our pigs got out and we all had to try and get it...don't remember who won...the pig or us.. This book would be great for my youngest granddaughters. I follow on facebook and email.

  2. I got messy as a child all the time because our backyard had a little creek that went through our property. I constantly played in the water and would get all dirty.
