cooking & crafting with grandma - Christmas Cookies!

Old Saran wrap or aluminum foil containers make great boxes for gifting cookies. | 38 Clever Christmas Hacks That Will Make Your Life Easier
It is almost the time of year when Christmas cookies fill our homes with some of the aromas and tastes which help us enjoy and celebrate with those we know and love! We all likely have memories of making Christmas cookies with our moms, grandmas, family, friends as we grew up and went on to make the tasty treats with our own children and grandchildren. Christmas cookies are more than just, "cookies". They are "Christmas" cookies . . . a very special cookie for a very special time of year!

So, what is your favorite Christmas cookie? I personally love Spritz cookies. Crispy, buttery, tasty; definitely part of my Christmas tradition! My mom always made Spritz cookies at Christmas and let us help add decorations and they are absolutely part of the Christmas cookies I make each year! (You'll find my recipe at this link.)

Since we often give Christmas cookies as gifts to family, friends, co-workers and neighbors, I thought I'd share a great idea I found on Pinterest for packing and giving Christmas cookies to those you love this year. Start saving your foil, plastic wrap and wax paper boxes . . . remove the cutting edges and wrap with Christmas paper, add some tissue and fill with cookies . . . these boxes make great cookie boxes! You'll find the specifics at this link.

So . . . what is your favorite Christmas cookie?
