Now, I realize not all of you who read grandma's cookie jar share my faith in Jesus, and I do not want to offend you or sound as if I'm "pushing" my "religion" on you. However; while all the "fun" of Christmas is, well . . . fun, there is so much more to Christmas!
The main reason I write grandma's cookie jar is to help provide ideas of ways to pass on a heritage of faith to our grandchildren. For me there is nothing more important than to know my grandsons love Jesus and will grow up to be men who love God! I am very intentional about pointing my grandsons to Jesus in the big things as well as the small things of everyday life.
So, when Christmas comes each year, it is very important to me to be sure along with the "fun", I am intentional about engaging my grandsons in the most important part of Christmas; worshipping and thanking God for the amazing Gift He gave us; Jesus!
Today is Christmas Day; I will be spending it with my family! I look forward to my grandsons opening their gifts and being able to celebrate with them. Most importantly, I look forward to spending time with them talking about the Best Gift ever; Jesus, because, what could be a better gift from God than Himself? Merry Christmas!
