Fun Ideas for Announcing a Late Gift . . .

So, from the response to my last few posts, I think it is fairly safe to say many of you are excited about my give-away of the American Girl - BeForever Samantha Doll & Paperback Book! As soon as she arrives - likely today or tomorrow - I will post a review, but today I thought it would be fun to share some of your ideas for how you could give her to your granddaughter or daughter for Christmas if you win . . . even though you will not receive her in time for Christmas.
  • Nita VanHoy-Carter said - "Go to the bookstore and get a book marker with Samantha on it . . . or a charm or something with a note saying she is arriving late".
  • Jim Lipscomb said - "Put a note in a stocking about 'someone' getting ready to arrive in the near future".
Thank you Nita and Jim for sharing your ideas . . . I love them both as they are fun ways to let a girl know she will be receiving a special gift in a few days!

If you win the American Girl - BeForever Samantha Doll & Paperback Book, what might you do to "give" her on Christmas . . . even though she won't be arriving until after Christmas?

  1. I'd make a little quilt and pillow for her and wrap them up with a note. My granddaughter's would be thrilled. I had one born yesterday that has hair just like this so so blessed!

  5. I would write a letter from "Samantha" explaining a travel misadventure which caused her delay and tell how excited she was to be coming to stay with us.

  6. Wrapping up a box with a picture of her inside. I'm sure any kid could wait a couple more days for such a wonderful gift!!
If someone gave me a picture of an item on order that didn't make it there in time, it would just make the anticipation of the item coming all the more exciting. It's like spreading the anticipation and fun a few more days.
Thanks for the chance to win.
