First of all, do you know what a "Snoopy Vulture Scowl" is? Well, Charlie Brown's dog, Snoopy had a great "Vulture Scowl" and my grandson Shane has mastered this look! Yesterday he had this look and in a "gruff and growly" voice said, "No!!! Never!!!!" when asked if he wanted to do something! He was very funny!
Then later, Poppa wanted to take Caleb's picture, but he said he was not going to smile. He turned his back and smiled, thinking how Poppa could not take a picture of his smile, then he turned around hand held his cup in front of his face - smiling even more - his eyes were twinkling, but Poppa could not get a photo of the smile with the cup there and then, Caleb moved the cup and gave Poppa two of his silliest, biggest smiles! I'm still laughing every time I look at the photos!
Then, I was talking about how it was time for bed and spelled, "b-e-d". Josiah was sitting there and said, "bed". I said, "Oh, yes. We can not spell words around you anymore since you are a speller and a reader." He got indignant and said, "I'm a level M! Of course I can spell bed - it is such an easy word." (At Josiah's school all First Graders have to be at level J by the end of the year.)
So, this past sleep-over was wonderful and I'm looking forward to the next sleep-over on Friday! I love being grandma!
