birthday month give-away - Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Monopoly

My grandsons, especially Josiah, enjoy playing Monopoly - especially when we use, "grandma rules"! With "grandma rules", the boys get an extra roll of the dice if they are going to land somewhere they would rather not land. Plus, when they play with grandma, they know it is extremely unlikely (as in something which will never happen) they will land on a property with hotels . . . at least if it is one of grandma's properties!

So, I as I was looking at the games on the USAopoly web site, I noticed a monopoly game I was sure my grandsons would enjoy - MONOPOLY: Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles EditionAt this grandma's house, there are grandsons who enjoy Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. They also enjoy playing Monopoly, so combining the two meant happy boys! I asked USAopoly if it might be available for review and another for give-away and they said, "Yes!" First, my review and then the give-away info.

MONOPOLY: Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Edition
Manufacturer - USAopoly
Ages - 8+
Players - 2-6

Favorite Features -
  • My grandson's reaction to hearing not only this game existed, but they were going to be able to play and keep it!'
  • My grandsons love how the game features the turtles
  • Custom tokens (Kraang, Spike, Throwing Star, Pizza, Mutagen and Shredder's Mask) and game board add to the fun
  • Encourages playing by the rules (even if there are grandma rules involved!), being a good sport and having fun together as a family
USAopoly says; "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle Power Meets MONOPOLY! Team up with your favorite ninja-fighting Turtles as you travel through New York City and lay claim to iconic hot spots including Rock Bottom Boxing Club, Antonio's Pizza-Rama, Shredder's Hideout and Splinter's Dojo in this special edition of MONOPOLY: Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Edition."

While I have not particularly been a "fan" of the turtles, my grandsons are, so I think combining the turtles and a classic game like Monopoly makes great sense - and has the potential to provide wonderful opportunities for families to play together and create some great memories! The design of MONOPOLY: Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Edition with the custom tokens and turtle "artwork" adds to the fun. If you have turtle "fans" in your family, this is a game they are sure to enjoy! It could be a great idea for Children's Day (the second Sunday in June) as it will be fun for the entire family!

As I mentioned, USAopoly not only sent one MONOPOLY: Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Edition for me to review, but they are making another available for me to give away (USA only)! The give-away will be on May 27, 2015, so if you are over the age of 18 and would like to be in the drawing for the MONOPOLY: Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Edition, please comment below to let me know if you, or your grandchildren, are "fans" of the turtles. I told my grandsons I was not particularly a fan and they asked me why. I told them thought it was "weird to have big turtles walking around and being "ninjas". To which Josiah said; "This is because they are 'mutant'. They are teenage, 'mutant' ninja turtles and this is why they do those things." Of course. I should have realized the obvious!

In addition, you will receive additional entries if you have followed on Google+, Google Friend Connect, followed by liking on facebook with the tab at this link (not just liking the post) and/or have followed grandma's cookie jar by email. For each of these which you have done you will receive one entry. In addition, if you "share" this post, you'll receive an additional entry (please let me know if you share). This will help me be able to draw names from among people who would like to win the
MONOPOLY: Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Edition and it gives you several ways to enter the give-away!
