Never-ending Hug & Love - Mine & God's!

Image result for clipart for never ending hugMy grandsons spent Friday night on a sleepover - Saturday morning Caleb climbed into my lap, looked at me, smiled and said, "Grandma, I'm going to give you a never-ending hug!" Then he hugged me for at least three or four minutes!

My heart is so happy!

I want my grandsons to know I love them all the time. I want them to know I love to spend time with them. I want them to know I am so very thankful to God for the most wonderful gifts He has given me; most certainly including the gifts of Josiah, Caleb and Shane!

So, when the boys are here, they hear me say these things. They hear me say I love them; all the time! They hear me say how happy I am to spend time with them and how I treasure them as gifts from the hand of God! I do not leave it up for debate or as something for them to wonder about. They know these things because they hear me say them - and they experience my love by the things I do . . . hugs, kisses, snuggles, fixing them their favorite foods, planning for fun things like buried pirate "treasure" in the sandbox, Treasure Rocks, Ice Eggs, celebrating Children's Day and the list goes on.

The most important way they hear, see and experience my love for them is in the way I pass on a heritage of faith to the boys. I make sure they know God loves them, He knew what He was doing when He created them, God has good plans for them and they can trust Him. Yes, I want them to know how much I love them, but it is ever so much more important for them to know how very much God loves them. Because I love them, I make sure they know how much God loves them!

And, I am so very happy when they take the time to let me know how much they love me, too! I am certainly happy to receive "never-ending hugs"!
