Today is going to be a busy day. I'm sitting here for a few minutes in a quiet house as my grandsons are still sleeping. (I'm surprised as they are usually awake before 6:30 in the morning!)We are celebrating Caleb's birthday today - pizza, cupcakes, cake and orange juice are on the menu - all his choices! We will also have fun with water balloons and squirt guns after his birthday dinner . . . it is hot out, so getting soaked will be an idea the boys will embrace with enthusiasm!
I love celebrating my grandson's birthdays. (Good thing, because in two weeks we celebrate Shane's birthday and then Josiah's is a month later!) Celebrating does not have to be an expensive thing - something simple like pizza, cup cakes and cake with water balloons and squirt guns will be fun the boys will remember because they are spending time with their family and their family loves them! I want these boys to look back on memories of family, fun and love . . . they were celebrated by their family, had lots of fun and experienced feeling loved. All will happen on their birthdays - and every day because they are three loved boys for sure!
My grandsons are some of God's greatest gifts to me - I love them dearly and want them to know beyond a shadow of doubt how very much I treasure them. I focus on showing this whenever they are at my house, but birthdays are a special time to do this!
