I do not personally drink soda, except for a couple times each summer when I enjoy a root beer float! I like to take my float and stir it until I end up with something along the lines of a root beer shake, but a classic float is quite enjoyable, too! Of course, I think a root beer float is incomplete without a squirt of whipped cream on top!
I found some interesting information on-line . . . "Root Beer Float Day is celebrated on August 6th every year. Towards the end of the 19th century, a gentleman named Frank Wisner created the first root beer float. Strangely, this float was nicknamed the 'black cow.'"
And, stop by your local A&W any time after 2pm as they are offering free Root Beer Floats again this year! What could be a better way to celebrate???!!!
So, plan to swing by the store sometime today and get the necessary ingredients and then enjoy celebrating Root Beer Float Day tomorrow!
