Alien Hats! The Decision Has Finally Been Made!

Image result for images of yarnWell, as you may recall, I've been thinking about the hats I'll crochet for my grandsons this year. (Since we live in West Michigan, where it gets cold in the .winter, I crochet hats for my grandsons each year.) In the past I've crocheted Agent Perry hats, Minion hats, Crazy Purple Minion hats, Gimli the dog hats (they have a dog named Gimli, so I crocheted hats which "looked" like Gimli), a rocket hat with an alien in it, and a number of crazy monster hats! It matters to me if they have warm heads and funny hats which are fun to wear.

So, this year I've been debating between ninja turtle hats, minecraft hats, a hat which looks like a shark eating your head and ???? I have finally settled on a hat for this year . . . it is an alien hat with eyeballs on antennas, crazy blue hair, spots and spikes down the back. Yes, "crazy" will describe this hat for sure! Hopefully, "fun" does as well. I'm kinda making it up as I go, so when I finish it, I'll post a photo!

I'm still leaning towards the shark hat, so maybe I'll make those as well, but for now I'm about a third of the way through the first alien hat . . . my grandsons will have warm heads again this year!

Are you making any hats for your grandchildren? If so, what will they look like?

  1. I have a 3 year old grandson, and he has his own ideas of what he likes, so I did not want to make him a hat without his input. lol I showed him 3 hats on Ravelry that I would be able to make for him, and he chose Ninja Turtle, and he asked if I could make one for his dad, too. I am really looking forward to seeing my 6' 2" son wearing his ninja turtle hat. It tickles me every time I think about it.
