While we might thing praying is not really "doing" anything, it is actually the most powerful thing we can do, because when we can not do anything "physically" for those we love, God can . . . and will! He promises to not just hear our prayers, but to listen to them! And He promises to not just listen, but to answer!
Take some time today to read Jeremiah 29:10-14a and pray it for the children you love. It is one of the passages in my book; Deeper In 4 Grandparents & Parents, Too! Praying the Scriptures for the Children You Love - Old Testament Edition. To help you pray this passage for your grandchildren, I'm posting this prayer for you today!

Prayer -
Dear
God, on this day I want to thank You for Your
good promises which You keep; You are such a good and amazing God! I am so
encouraged to know You know the plans You have for me and these plans are for
my good, not plans which harm me. Thank You for Your plans which give me
hope and a future. When I read about how You want me to call on You and pray, I
am amazed. It is even more wonderful to know You promise to listen to my
prayers. Thank You for listening to my prayers! I want to seek You and am so
happy to know when I seek You with all of my heart You promise to be found.
Thank You for Your promises!
Please help my grandchildren/children understand and
experience how You keep Your good promises; You are such a good and amazing
God! Please help them see how You know You know the plans You have for them and
these plans are for their good, not plans which harm them; I pray they will be
able to trust You, even when they can not yet see the good. Thank You for Your
plans which give my grandchildren/children hope and a future. When they read
about how You want them to call on You and pray, please give them the desire to
talk with You. I pray on this day they will be encouraged to know You promise
to listen to their prayers. Please give them hearts which want to seek You and
cause them to experience the joy of knowing when they seek You with all of
their heart You promise You will be found. Thank You for Your promises! Thank You for Your great love for us; I love
You, too! Amen!
