just as grandma's cookie jar should always be full of good things, this blog will be full of good ideas, information, activities and reviews of things to help grandma . . . and grandpa, mom and dad too . . . pass on a heritage of faith to the children in their lives!
It's November - I'm Ever So Thankful For . . . My Husband's Parents
Today, November 6th, I'm thankful for my husband's parents! My husband is an amazing, gentle and loving man and I know a lot of the reason for this is because of who his parents are/were and how they raised him. My in-laws are/were amazing people and I love them with all my heart. This past February, Dave's mom died, and she is greatly missed. But I see every day the impact she had and his dad still has on their son and I am thankful. So, yes, today, I'm ever so thankful for my husband's parents! Look at Psalm 100:5 . . .
For the Lord is good and his love endures forever; his faithfulness continues through all generations.
When I talk with my grandsons about how I'm thankful for their great-grandparents, I'll tell them how they raised their poppa to be the amazing poppa he is. I will tell them how much their great-grandma loved her family - including them and how much their great-grandpa still loves them! What are you thankful for today?
