Today, November 1st, I'm thankful God loves me. This may sound "cliche", but it is the truth. I'm ever so thankful for God's love. My life would not be what it is without His love. My future would absolutely not be what it will be without God's love, so when I think about what I'm thankful for, I have to include God's love!
Look at what we find in 1 John 4:9, 10 . . .
This is how God showed his love among us: He sent his one and only Son into the world that we might live through him. This is love: not that we loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son as an atoning sacrifice for our sins.God does not just "say" He loves us; He showed His love by sending Jesus so we can have life . . . real life now and eternal life one day. How can this not be the first thing I am thankful for?
When I talk with my grandsons about how I'm thankful for God's love, I will also tell them, "why" I'm thankful for His love!
So, what are you thankful for?
