A Very Happy Thanksgiving!

I hope you all enjoyed celebrating Thanksgiving with your families! I was blessed to enjoy Thanksgiving dinner with my husband, daughter, son, daughter-in-law and three, sweet, rascal grandsons! And, then the boys stayed a couple days for sleep-overs and time at grandma & Poppa's house!

After Thanksgiving dinner, the boys helped put up our tree . . . even little Shane (two years old) had great fun hanging ornaments and ran around, pointing at the tree saying "twinkle!" - I do love twinkle lights and have many of them on my tree!

After the tree was decorated - and twinkling - each boy received one gift . . . and I received extremely happy smiles in return! This year, as they boys receive their early gifts, they will be making a "ticket" for their parents which is good for something they will do for or with their parents. We are saving all the "tickets" and then the boys will be able to wrap them up and give them to their parents for Christmas! Some of the tickets are for things like, dusting, putting dishes away, etc and others are for things like playing a game, building snowmen (if we get any snow this year!) and having a snowball fight!

I want my sweet boys to not only receive gifts at grandma's, but to also be thinking about what they can do to give to others . . . their "tickets" will help them do this!

So, what did you do for Thanksgiving? Do you have any plans for celebrating and helping your grandchildren think about giving in this season of "receiving"?
