Today I'm very happy to share with you a Christmas Carol which you may not be familiar with, but I'm sure you are very familiar with the one who is singing it . . . Michael W. Smith. "Christmastime" is a song which calls us to join together and sing the carols, sing about the joy, sing about the message of peace on earth which comes, because Jesus is born!

Look at the lyrics . . .

Christmas bells
Ring Christmas bells ring them loud with the message bringing
Peace on the earth tidings of good cheer
Come carolers come and join with the angels singing
Joy to the world Christmastime is here
Children gather around and listen
And you'll hear the sound
Of angels filling the sky
Telling everyone Christmastime is here
Ring Christmas bells
Ring them loud with the message bringing
Peace on the earth tidings of good cheer
Come carolers come and join with the angels singing
Joy to the world Christmas time is here
Loved ones close to our hearts
And strangers in lands a far
Together share in the joy, Emmanuel
He has come to dwell
With one voice, let the world rejoice
Christmastime is here
Ring Christmas bells
Ring them loud with the message bringing
Peace on the earth tidings of good cheer
Come carolers come and join with the angels singing
Joy to the world Christmastime is here again
Children gather around and listen
You'll hear the sound
Of angels filling the sky
It's Christmastime is here again

We all know how easy it is for our grandchildren - and even for ourselves, to become distracted with all the glitz and gifts at Christmastime. We need to focus on staying focused on what Christmastime is really all about - the message of peace and the joy which came when Jesus was born! We can still have this peace and joy and we can sing with one voice about what Christmastime is really all about!

It is Christmastime, let's share the joy; please join me in "caroling" your friends by sharing this post! :-)
