- I personally find the Kinkajou to be most unique! This golden little creature is a relative of the more familiar raccoon. Also known as a "Honey Bear", this little critter can walk backwards up the trees in the rain forest.
- The Glass Frog can definitely be considered, "weird" - it's skin is transparent . . . you can see it's, "innards"!
- While otters are not particularly, "unique", the Giant River Otter can grow up to seven feet long . . . which is certainly unique!
- While we all are familiar with Jaguars, the Jaguarundi is a cat we may not have ever even heard of before! They have short legs, a long body, long tail and do not tend to have spots. Jaguarundis can purr, whistle, make yapping sounds, chattering sounds and even chirp like birds.

Now for the details about winning Lea . . .
The drawing for the American Girl Doll, Girl of the Year 2016 - Lea, Doll & Book will be on May 30, 2016. If you live in the USA, are over the age of 18 and would like to be included in this giveaway, please comment below to tell me which animal you think is most unique from the Brazilian Rain-forest - feel free to share one you discovered when you searched on-line!
In addition, if you have followed in Google Friend Connect, followed by liking on facebook with the tab in the "Find us on Facebook" box ON THE BLOG, or at this link (not just liking the post) and/or have followed grandma's cookie jar by email, you will receive one entry for each of these which you have done. Plus, if you "share" this post, you'll receive another entry (please let me know if you share). This will help me be able to draw names from among people who would like to win the American Girl Doll, Girl of the Year 2016 - Lea, Doll & Book and it gives you several ways to enter the giveaway! Please keep in mind, you will receive just one entry for each way you enter for each post - this means, for example, if you tweet each day about a particular giveaway, while I appreciate it, you will only receive one entry for the first tweet. Thank you for reading grandma's cookie jar and for sharing it with the people you know!

ReplyDeleteI agree with the Kinkajou, plus they are cute! I heard a news story the other day about how someone's pet Kinkajou escaped, got into someone's house and slept on them!
