grandma's bookshelf - Snuggle Time Prayers - I'm Giving One Away!

What is one of your favorite times when your grandchildren come to your home for sleep-overs? Since my grandchildren are young, I love to snuggle! I love when they climb into my lap and I get to put my arms around them! Yes, snuggling is a special thing I treasure - especially since I know it will not be very long and the boys will be grown and snuggling in grandma's lap will be a thing of the past.

So, when I was invited to review a new book by Glenys Nellist with the title - "Snuggle Time Prayers", I knew I wanted to take a look at this book! The name had my attention . . . and today I'm very happy for the opportunity to share it with you!

Snuggle Time Prayers
Author - Glenys Nellist
Illustrator - Cee Biscoe
Publisher - Zonderkidz
Ages - 2-4

Favorite Features -
  • Sturdy board-book will hold up to little ones holding, "reading", and carrying this book around.
  • Adorable, charming, colorful, and fun, the illustrations are amazing!
  • Fifteen prayers for you to share with your grandchildren/children
  • Each prayer starts with a Bible verse - I love this feature
Zonderkidz says; "Snuggle Time Prayers, written by Glenys Nellist and illustrated by Cee Biscoe, is a perfect bedtime collection of fifteen prayers. This padded cover board book will help children settle down at bedtime and remind them of their blessings as they draw closer to God."

My grandson Shane (two years old) was at my house when this book arrived. He took one look at it, hugged it, and carried it around with him for hours! The next time he came over, he saw the book and said; "My book!" and we had a repeat of the hugging and carrying! Just the illustrations are enough of a reason to get this book, because little ones will want to see the pictures and will listen as you share the prayers with them!

I especially love the prayer entitled; "I'm Amazing!" It starts with the verse - Psalm 139:14 "How You made me is amazing and wonderful." and then the prayer - "God, You made me special. There's no one quite the same. You made me look the way i am, You even know my name! God, You made me wonderful; There's only one of me! And every single day I live, Your precious child I'll be!Snuggle Time Prayers is an adorable book which will give you lots to talk about and share with your little ones as you snuggle and pray together - at bed-time, or any time!

I'm very happy to say, not only did Zonderkidz send me one Snuggle Time Prayers to review, but they sent an additional one for me to give away (USA only)! If you are over the age of 18, live in the USA, and would like to be in the drawing for one Snuggle Time Prayers, which will be on March 10, 2016, please comment below to tell me about your favorite time to snuggle your sweet little ones - while any time, is a sweet time to snuggle, I do love the hugs and snuggles when the boys arrive at my home!
