grandma's movie review & giveaway - Owlegories

I was recently invited to take a look at a new series of videos for children which are focused on helping children learn about God through the amazing things found in nature and revealed in God's Word. They sent me two of their DVDs for review, so my grandsons and I sat down and watched them. I'm happy to share with you today about the new series, Owlegories!

Owlegories: The Ant, The Fruit, The Butterfly

Favorite Features -
  • I like how the stories incorporate interesting things about nature into their stories to teach children about God.
  • Each dvd has three stories
  • Apps add to the fun - check them out at
Owlegories says; "We created Owlegories, because we wanted a fun way to teach our children about our great God and His amazing love for us. Our hope is you can use the Owlegories episodes and our apps as tools to teach your family, friends, neighbors, classmates, or church body the wonderful truths of God's Word and the Good News of His saving grace."

I think this is a series where young children will enjoy the stories, but they may lose interest when the adult shows up at the end of each story to connect the story with a truth from God's Word. My grandson Caleb (four years old) liked it, because he said; "It is pretty fun!", but my grandson Josiah (seven years old) did not care for it, because he said; "It is meant for younger children."new

Owls are new "characters" for children to get to know and the stories do connect and provide opportunities to talk with your grandchildren/children, but you may find your grandchildren/children will be more interested in and engage more with the connection at the end, if you take over this part and talk with them about the message in each story.

I'm happy to say, not only was I sent one copy to review, but an additional dvd is being made available for me to give away - USA only. If you are over the age of 18, live in the USA, and would like to be in the drawing for an Owlegories: The Ant, The Fruit, The Butterfly dvd, which will be on March 5, 2016, please comment below to tell me your favorite fruit - I love blueberries!
