just for fun - February is the Great American Pie Month - Favorite Pie!

Before February ends, I thought it would be fun to share with you a tasty bit of information . . . it is the Great American Pie Month! Around my house, when it is a birthday, the birthday person gets to choose the menu for their birthday dinner - this includes the dessert. Most of the time, my family members choose pie for their dessert . . . and most of the time, they choose frozen peanut butter pie.

So, since it is the Great American Pie Month . . . at least for eight more days . . . I thought I'd share my family's favorite pie recipe with you!

Ingredients -

• One box chocolate pudding
• 1/2 pkg cream cheese
• 1 pt whipping cream
• 1/2 cup of peanut-butter
• Chocolate cookie crust 
• Mini chocolate chips (optional)

Directions -

• Whip cream
• Mix pudding - use the pie directions on the box
• Cream peanut-butter and cream cheese
• Fold in pudding and whipping cream
• Add mini chocolate chips if you like :^)
• Spoon into a pie crust and freeze until two hours before serving - move to refrigerator. serve, enjoy :^)

This is a pie which is sure to become a family favorite! :^) As you make this pie with your grandchildren talk with them about the ingredients and how God made cows, so we can have cream, milk, cheese, and how he made cocoa beans, so we can have chocolate and peanuts, which means we can have peanut-butter. Ask your grandchildren what some of their favorite things are and then lead them in thanking God for creating such wonderful treats, and for creating us so we can enjoy them!

Although February is almost over, it is not over yet! So, before the month ends, plan to surprise your family with their favorite pie . . . great way to celebrate the Great American Pie Month, for sure!
