Legacy Grandparent Conference - Check Out the Speakers - Part 2!
Yesterday I introduced five of the speakers at the up-coming Legacy Grandparent Conference May 9th & 10th in Eden Prairie, MN; today I'm delighted to introduce the remaining five speakers. As you will see, the line up of speakers makes this a conference you will want to attend and take grandparents you know with you, so you will all be able to learn and be encouraged! Catherine Jacobs is from the South Carolina low Country and has lived there for 30 years. She has served on the staff of he church, St. Pauls, Summerville, for 14 years as the Director of Children's and Family Ministry. When she became a grandmother, her passion for increasing the impact of a parent and grandparent's influence on their child's heart led to the creation of Pass the Legacy Ministry and to record a DVD/CD small group study, Seven Keys for "Salty" Grand Parents. These keys touch the hearts of loved ones, so a legacy of faith in Christ is passed to the next generations. She is a charter member of the Legacy Coalition and has four grown children and four grandchildren. Linda Ransom-Jacobs lives in Florida where she is serving as a Children's Ministry Consultant. She has extensive experience at accommodating children who have experienced a trauma, are grieving the death of a parent or going through the divorce of their parent, and who have challenging behavior. She developed DC4K (DivorceCare for Kids) and oversees the Care Ministries at her church; GriefShare, DivorceCare, DC4K, and soon a Grandparenting Ministry. Linda is the author of the book, Attract Families to Your Church and Keep Them Coming Back and you will find her blog at blog.dc4k.org.
Josh Mulvihill is the pastor to children and families at Grace Church of Eden Prairie - our host church for the conference - where he is focused on equipping parents and grandparents to pass faith on to future generations. He has also served as an adjunct professor of Christian Ministries at Crown College, co-authored the book, If He Had Not Come, and is about to release another book, Preparing Children for Marriage. Josh is a charter member of Legacy Coalition and serves as their Director of Resources. He and his wife, Jen, have five children.
John Coulombe has served for 27 years at First EV Free Church in Fullerton, CA; he currently serves there as the InterGen Pastor as he seeks to bring the generations together and he is part of the Legacy Coalition. John and his wife, Jacque, have two children and eight grandchildren.
Rob Rienow is a pastor at Gospel Fellowship Church in Glen Ellyn, IL, and serves in a ministry he began with his wife which inspires parents and grandparents to disciple their children; Visionary Family Ministries. He is the author of several books, including; God's Grand Vision for the Home and When They Turn Away; Drawing Your Adult Child Back to Christ. He and his wife, Amy, have seven children. These ten speakers will provide opportunities for youand the grandparents you know to learn and be encouraged!
