What are Your Blessings?

I've been thinking a lot today, in particular, about the many blessings God has lavished on me . . . of course, the first is His love, grace and forgiveness! He has also blessed me with an amazing husband - we met on a volcano and have been married for 35 years! We have two grown children and one daughter-in-law - all blessings from the hand of God! I have three wonderful grandsons who make my heart happy . . . most certainly blessings from God!

I have a family I love and who loves me! I have friends! I have a house to live in . . . it is actually the house my grandparents built, my dad was born in this house and my family has always lived here. I have been blessed with a church where God's Word is preached by pastors who actually live what they preach! I am able to write - along with writing two blogs - and I count all of you who read my blogs as great blessings, too - I had two books published last year, another one about to be completed and at least one more on the schedule for later this year!

I'm serving with the Legacy Coalition - Grandparenting that Matters - and will be able to write for them as well as speak at grandparenting conferences and summits (one in May in the Minneapolis area and another in November in Texas).

These are just some of the amazing blessings God has lavished on me! I just read a study which said when people take time to think about: to savor the blessings in their lives, they are much more happy! I find great joy in "savoring" the blessings of God.

As you go through this day, take time to think about; to savor the blessings God has given to you, too!
