Dolls - Crochet a Rag Doll & I'm Giving Away an American Girl Doll!

I love rag dolls! They are soft and cuddly and can make such a wonderful "friend" for young girls! So, as I browsed on Pinterest, I was very happy to find a crochet pattern for a rag doll . . . this is a doll I'd definitely make if I had a granddaughter! Just follow this link and you'll find a page where you can download the pattern for this doll for free!

So, what about you? What kind of doll do you like? What dolls did you have when you were growing up? I had a Raggedy Ann and one of my daughter's first dolls was a Raggedy Ann, too!
Today American Girl dolls are a huge hit with girls and on the wish list for nearly all of them! They are beautiful dolls and I really like how they come with their own "story" which teaches about history or problems and issues girls might face in their own lives.

I'm very happy for the opportunity to give away one American Girl Doll, Girl of the Year 2016 - Lea, Doll & Book on May 30, 2013! You will find all the details about this lovely doll, her "story" and how you can be in the drawing at this link, and if you share here about one of the dolls you had - and loved - as a child, you'll receive an additional entry!

  1. My favorite was a life size doll that really looked real. I treated her like she really was my baby and was able to put life size clothes on her. I have her to this day and now my grand daughter plays with her. The doll has even stood in as baby Jesus in my CM ministry. I still love my dolly 45 years later.

  3. I had a Cabbage Patch kid doll. I loved her because my grandmother gave her to me. Now my daughter plays with her.

  4. My older sister had a Raggedy Ann doll, but my prized doll was a Cabbage Patch Kids doll. She had short, blond curly hair. I still remember the morning that I woke with her at the end of the bed! I was SO surprised and excited!

  5. I had a doll that was identical to my beloved aunt who passed away when I was young. I still have that doll 30 years later.
