just as grandma's cookie jar should always be full of good things, this blog will be full of good ideas, information, activities and reviews of things to help grandma . . . and grandpa, mom and dad too . . . pass on a heritage of faith to the children in their lives!
"Egg" Your Grandchildren & Have them "Egg" their Friends!
A friend's daughter recently posted photos to her facebook of her daughters as they "egged" their friend's homes. Don't worry . . . it is the best, sweetest way to "egg" someone you could ever imagine! If you - like me - had never heard of this before, I'm very happy to explain it for you today (I looked it up online) . . . you still have time to "egg" your grandchildren and then have them "egg" some of their friends' homes, too! The basic idea is you will make a sign - or download one for free from this link - which says; "You've been 'egged'! We've hid 12 eggs in your yard, but don't be discouraged when you find the empty egg. It is simply a reminder of Jesus' empty tomb - for He is risen!", fill some plastic eggs with surprises and then leave the eggs, hidden in your grandchildren's/their friends' yards (preferably when they are not home - or are asleep) - be sure to leave one egg empty. Hang the sign on their door and leave. When they get home - or up in the morning to discover they have been "egged", they will have a wonderful time finding all the surprises! Plus, most importantly, this is a really fun - and creative - way to share the message of Jesus' empty tomb! I'm going to have a lot of fun "egging" my grandsons . . . and they will have fun "egging" a friend, too! Have you ever "egged" someone before?
