Special Birthday Month Giveaway - When Calls The Heart: Heart And Home and When Calls The Heart: Trials Of The Heart DVDs

Over the past couple years I've had the opportunity to review dvds from a Hallmark Channel program . . . When Calls the Heart. This series is inspired by the popular books of the same name by Janette Oke. Today I'm happy for the opportunity to reviewe two more which were sent to me for review and to give away!

When Calls The Heart: Heart And Home

When Calls The Heart: Trials Of The Heart

Favorite Features -

  • Solid story-telling and family friendly stories
  • Characters you will care about
  • Well portrayed and acted - these shows are enjoyable to watch
Hallmark says; "In Heart and Home Jack and Elizabeth leave Hope Valley and rush back to the city of Hamilton when they learn Jacks’ brother, Tom, was involved in an automobile accident . . . with Elizabeth’s sister, Julie! But Tom and Julie are hiding something about the incident, a deceit which puts Jack and Elizabeth at odds with their families . . . and with each other. Their trip is further complicated when Tom and Julie endeavor to run off together (via train this time) and Elizabeth’s father offers Jack a job: an offer which puts Jack and Elizabeth’s fledgling romance in peril yet again." and "In Trials of the Heart Elizabeth Thatcher (Krakow) is an independent, strong-willed teacher who has foregone the life of the big city and found a job, a home (and romance with a handsome Mountie named Jack) in the small frontier town of Coal Valley. But when she learns her mother has taken ill, she returns to Hamilton, her hometown, with Jack as her escort. Once in the comparably opulent Hamilton, Elizabeth and Jack are confounded by Jack’s ne’er-do-well brother and Elizabeth’s former suitor, Charles Kensington. But it is Elizabeth’s father, William, who drives a wedge between them when he suggests to Jack, Charles would be a better match for his well-bred daughter."

These are stories to sit back and enjoy with a large bowl of popcorn! I'm very happy to say, When Calls The Heart: Heart And Home and When Calls The Heart: Trials Of The Heart DVDs were sent to me to give away (USA only)! If you are over the age of 18, live in the USA, and would like to be in the drawing for these DVDs - which will be on May 14, 2016, please comment below to tell me about a favorite story which you would love to see made into a movie. For me it has to be the Silver Chair - Chronicles of Narnia. I'm still hoping they make this book into a movie!

  2. ARMED AND OUTRAGEOUS An Agnes Barton Senior Sleuth Mystery by MADISON JOHNS, might be a fun movie. I'm reading it now. Its main characters and storyline are in a town in Michigan. There's a lot of humor with a pair of senior citizen detectives searching for a missing girl. They may be older but they still have a lot of life left in them.....liked, shared & follow FB Google + email and tweeted

  3. I really liked Island of the Blue Dolphins as a child. I think they made it into a movie back in the '60s. I would love to see a recent version of it though.
