My grandsons love a simple butter-sugar cookie . . . and I typically make them each weekend when the boys are here . . . they also love sampling the cookie dough!
But, with summer and warmer weather arriving, my cookie baking tends to, "take a break". So, I'm very interested in discovering no-bake cookie recipes. I do have one no-bake recipe . . . which I'm sharing with you today . . .
Ingredients -
- 2 cups sugar
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1 stick of butter
Bring these three ingredients to a boil - stirring from time-to-time, then let boil for one minute without stirring.
- 3 cups oats - I like the "old fashioned"
- 1 cup peanut butter
- 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
Add pb and chocolate chips - stir so them melt and blend in. Add oats. Stir. Drop by the spoonfull onto wax-paper lined pan or plates. Place in freezer to "set".
Enjoy!
I tend to keep these cookies in the freezer so the chocolate doesn't get "melty" in warm weather - and they are better frozen!
So, what no-bake recipes do you use?
Thanks for the recipe, I've always used cocoa powder but I will try the chocolate chips, the grandblessing's will love them!
