The Top Five Ways to Show Love to My Grandchildren . . . #3 - Greet with Joy!

As we continue to think about showing love to our grandchildren, today I'm happy to share with you my third way I show love to my grandsons from my Top Five . . .

  • Greet with a smile, a twinkle in my eye and hug!
I want my grandsons to know I'm always so happy to see them, so whenever they arrive at my house, or I see them at their house . . . or any other place, I always take a moment to greet them with a smile, a twinkle in my eye and a hug! Of course, they greet me in this same way, too! They have been greeted with joy their entire lives and they show this same joy when they see me . . . sometimes even more! One time at my church, my son and his family arrived to find us standing near the children's sign-in desk. Caleb (four years old) saw me and said - with great enthusiasm and a fair amount of volume; "Grandma!!! You're my Grandma!!! Grandma!!!!" and ran to me as fast as he could! Hugs, smiles and joy followed . . . everyone in the surrounding area had zero doubt this adult went with that sweet child!

I absolutely want my grandsons to know their grandma without a doubt, most certainly loves them. I always greet them with great joy!

What do you do to show your love to your grandchildren?
