All Things Bright and Beautiful - I'm Giving One Away!

I was recently invited to review a new book with old lyrics - and given the opportunity to give one away as well, so today I'm very happy to share with you the book - All Things Bright and Beautiful . . .

All Things Bright and Beautiful
Author - Cecil Frances Alexander
Illustrator - Katy Hudson
Publisher - Ideal's Children's Books
Ages - 4-7

Favorite Features -
  • Text is entirely made from the old hymn
  • Lovely watercolor illustrations
  • Illustrations show a family camping in God's beautiful creation
Ideal's Children's Books says; "All things bright and beautiful, All creatures great and small, All things wise and wonderful, The Lord God made them all.”

First published by Cecil Frances Alexander in 1848, this favorite hymn has become a mainstay of churches and Sunday school classes everywhere. Here artist Katy Hudson brings new joy to the words with her fresh and bright watercolor style. Readers can join in the fun as they follow two little girls and their brother on a day filled with the discovery of “all things bright and beautiful."

This is a lovely book, one which would be fun to sing to your grandchildren as you read it to them. I would love to see children of other races included in the illustrations - maybe other families camping nearby, but it is a book which will clearly give you opportunities to talk about some of the many things God created and how they are all beautiful.

I'm very happy to say, not only did Ideal's Children's Books send me one copy of this book to review, but the are making another available for me to give away (USA only). So, if you live in the USA, are over the age of 18 and want to enter the giveaway for All Things Bright and Beautiful which will be on July 22, 2016, please comment below to let me know a place where you most are left in awe of God's beautiful creation - for me it is absolutely the mountains (particularly Mt. Lassen and Mt. Shasta in Northern California)!

In addition, you will receive additional entries if you have followed on Google+, Google Friend Connect, followed by liking on facebook with the tab at this link (not just liking the post) and/or have followed grandma's cookie jar by email. For each of these which you have done you will receive one entry. In addition, if you "share" this post, you'll receive an additional entry (please let me know if you share). This will help me be able to draw names from among people who would like to win All Things Bright and Beautiful and it gives you several ways to enter the give-away!
